Meet Todd
Fortunately, the 30-year-old jokes he told to the first generation are new to this one.

Poo isn’t our only fun topic. Baseball, football, fishing, dinosaurs, sharks and Pokémon™ rate up there too.
In his own words
My adult life has taken me to Arizona, Illinois, New Hampshire and Georgia, but I grew up in small towns in Wisconsin. All that early repeated exposure taught me how to know what I was looking at, poo-wise.
Unbeknownst to me at the time, it also provided a useful primer for an eventual career in sales and marketing — a field in which one often finds the occasional spreading of a kind of manure.
Uncle Todd

Why the book exists
Nieces and nephews first, then great-nieces and great-nephews. The same questions and giggles come round in every generation. Watching parents navigate the oft-challenging process of potty training was one inspiration for this book.
He reads to them constantly, and he is the sort of person who has actually read every book on his own shelf — which turns out to matter a great deal when you sit down to write one.
See what’s inside the bookThen and now
Out on the water, into the woods, down to the barn. The fishing and the reading and the questions are all the same habit, and he has had it a long time.

Wisconsin, a long time ago, and a fish worth photographing.
Out in early 2027. Leave an address and you will hear the moment there is a date.
